The 4th annual ICQME Conference will take place on August 27-28, 2009, at the Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l'Administration Economique (ENSAE), Paris, France. This meeting will be organized by the Centre d’Etudes de l’Emploi (CEE), the Center for Quality of Montenegro, CREST-INSEE, the Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l'Administration Economique (ENSAE), the Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l'Analyse de l'Information (ENSAI) and the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Dijon (ESC).

The development in technology over the last ten years has changed the characteristics of business drastically. A great increase in market competition has accelerated the globalisation of international companies and changed business requirements. Many firms have responded to these changes by using different managerial tools that can drive firms to make significant improvements in profitability, productivity and competitiveness. The ICQME 2009 Conference is an international forum for the exchange of knowledge, experience, research results and information about various aspects of the state-of-the-art and the development in the fields of quality standard, environment standard and high performance workplace practices (HPWP). The aim of the conference is to facilitate the exchange of ideas and research results in the fields of economics, management, sociology and engineering. You are invited to submit papers or extended abstracts for this conference. A scientific committee will evaluate all submissions.

The electronic submission is now open and will close after the deadline of May 20, 2009. The link below will lead you automatically through the electronic process of the submission. You can submit a paper or an extended abstract in English or in French. Please enclose your complete paper or your extended abstract as a pdf or word file. The accepted papers will be published in a conference book.

Acceptance decisions will be communicated by the end of May, 2009. The accepted papers or extended abstracts will be made available for downloading from the conference site. Your paper revisions should be sent to the ICQME secretariat before 30 July 2009.

Papers accepted for presentation can be submitted for publication in a special issue in International Journal of Advanced Operations Management, UK and or in International Journal of Business Performance and Supply Chain Modelling, UK
