MEASURING DISCRIMINATIONS

CALL FOR PAPERS

In many European countries, there is a gap between an increasing concern about discrimination issues and the limited number of scientific contributions dealing with this issue.

This meeting aims to gather all contributions on the definition and measurement of discrimination.

This includes works in Economics, Sociology and Law.

The topics covered include hiring, training, unemployment, promotion, career evolution, wages, housing and the access to collective goods (school etc.).

In these fields, we are interested in discrimination based on gender, age, nationality, race, handicap or location. Contributions can be based on any kind of data sources.

Keynote speakers
Ronald L. OAXACA, McClelland Professor of economics, University of Arizona
David NEUMARK, Professor of economics, University of California Irvine
Olivier de SCHUTTER, Professor of Criminal Law and Criminology, University of Louvain la Neuve

It is planned to produce, in addition to a proceedings, a special issue of a journal and a book
